The predominate goal of Twitter for business use is to increase sales, networking, establish a greater web presence and voice. Twitter helps keep your audiences apprised of your activities right where you are. Here's Jain's 30 tips on how to promote your brand via Twitter:
- New announcements from your brand
- Teaser previews of offerings you will provide
- Related, interesting industry news
- Trivia related to your product: history, technology, anything
- Ask for suggestions: people love to help someone out
- Events you are hosting: this informs and brings you attendees
- Events in which you are participating: this shows you are active
- Offer witty one-liners: jokes, daily wisdom
- Help people find opportunities: Helping people problem-solve is a good way to promote your brand
- Popular events: tweet about upcoming sports events, festivals, issues your company supports, etc.
- Unexpected developments: Did bad weather snarl your plans? Tweet about it
- Regular industry news
- Sales announcements: Tweet about your upcoming promotions, offers
- Job openings: Tell people about open positions, both with your brand and at other places you know
- Ask customer feedback: Invite people to share their experiences with your brand
- Participate in relevant hashtags for more visibility
- Set up and announce tweet chats based on brand-related hashtags
- Follow people and make acknowledgements via tweets
- Thank people who have recently followed you
- Post the latest updates from your blog along with the link
- Direct people to other social media channels you own by tweeting about them
